1985 Alligata started to publish games for only £1.99 under the label Budgie, so called budget games

The reason were that some companies such Mastertronic sold games at that level so to compete against them they made complete new games and sold them for that new low great price.

Some of the games were Video's Revenge (BBC Micro, Acorn Electron), Labyrinthion (ZX Spectrum), Superbowl (MSX) etc.
